chani is a washington dc born and brooklyn based actor, singer, and strong determined mover who lovingly refers to herself as a personality hire.

chani went to college for rocket science and somehow ended up graduating top of her class with a music degree and special honors in musical theatre.

armed with the blessing of her immigrant parents (unheard of), the guilt of her ancestors (typical), and a modest amount of audacity (could have had more), chani launched herself into the DC theatre scene and found an artistic home.

they performed new works, old works, old works made new, many a world premiere, and solo shows across the dmv at theaters like signature theatre, arena stage, shakespeare theatre company, the kennedy center, ford’s theatre, and many more. some say she was trying to hit dc theatre bingo.

before long, she started wanting a new adventure: a move to new york city.

first, though, she had to tour for over a year with the first broadway national tour of the corn show (SHUCKED!), but now, chani is settled into their apartment in brooklyn with her two cats (cleo and emma), her growing baggu collection, and two closets (!!) full of craft supplies.

chani wishes, with all her heart, to be in rooms full of daring choices, punk rock, and whimsy. her goal in any room is to be joy and light, with a laser focus on the work.
